Tricks with Pricks

[Publishing] Oh, the sly world of book publishing.

A press release just landed in my e-mailbox announcing a new book titled
The Prick Index.

And state Sen. Chris Buttars isn't even on it.

That's because it's not
really about big pricks.

Says the press release:

Prick isn't a dirty word
. The book is about insights into thorny relationships. These relationships are both male and female in gender. The term "prick" is a metaphor for a rose thorn. The book has a new method of quantifying the level of pricking in a light, playful tone while capturing the seriousness of the subject. Recent readers of the book are quoted as saying "I couldn't wait to turn the pages. It is a fun book to read! It made me laugh!"

Got it. Bwahahaha. (Holly Mullen)

  1. I lost my job yesterday because my superivsor head me giving my name to a customer.

I made it all through life without a problem but now i will probably lose my home because of your politically correct complaining. Yeah, you really care about the working man.

    Thanks a lot,

  2. You finally figured it out David...all the worlds evils can be attributed to Holly Mullen in SLC, Ut for saying everybody has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. Maybe you should work on proper boundaries. You would be amazed how little effect Ms. Mullen's beliefs have on your career if you pay attention in employee orientation at your next job.

  3. Methinks thou didst miss David Lynch Black's (pathetic) attempt at humor.

  4. I know the feeling David, everybody thinks I am a narrow minded hate monger when I travel out of state and they see my license plate.
